Telehealth medication management
LisaCare Psychiatry and Wellness offers medication review, prescribing when appropriate, monitoring and treatment adjustments through telehealth. Before beginning care, you can ask how the service fits your needs and what ongoing follow-up may involve.
Medication decisions with ongoing review
Care is provided by Prisca Oketch, APRN, PMHNP-BC, a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. LisaCare emphasizes personalized treatment and patients as active partners. An appointment can include discussion of your current treatment, concerns and follow-up needs. Prescribing scope, visit frequency and whether medication management fits your situation must be confirmed directly with the practice.
Medication management does not guarantee that a specific medication will be prescribed, continued or changed, or that a refill will be available on a particular timeline. If you are seeking a specific service or have questions about a current medication, raise those questions during the eligibility process.
If you are transferring medication care
Have an accurate list of current medications and supplements, including names and doses, along with your pharmacy, allergies, prior medication trials and the name of your current prescriber. Ask LisaCare which records are needed, how they should be sent and whether the practice can accept the requested transfer. Do not assume that an existing prescription will be continued before LisaCare completes its own evaluation and confirms prescribing scope.
The National Institute of Mental Health’s visit-preparation tips recommend telling a provider about all medications and supplements and asking questions when instructions or possible effects are unclear.
What to ask before ongoing care
- What does an initial medication appointment include?
- How will response, concerns and possible side effects be discussed?
- How are follow-up appointments arranged?
- Which medications or services are outside the practice’s scope?
- How do appointment fees, insurance and the monthly Gold membership work together?
It may help to note when a concern or possible side effect began, whether it changed after a medication or dose change and how it affects daily activities. Ask which concerns should be discussed at a routine follow-up and how to contact the practice with a medication question. Ask about the practice’s communication and refill policies before beginning care.
If you are still establishing a starting point, review LisaCare’s psychiatric evaluation service. The specialties overview organizes focused information about anxiety, depression and ADHD and lists the practice’s additional specialties.
Common questions about medication care
What information helps at a medication review?
Prepare a current list of prescribed medicines, over-the-counter products and supplements, and the questions you want to discuss. You can describe what has helped, what concerns remain and when a possible side effect began. This gives you a clear starting point for discussing response, concerns and treatment options with your clinician.
Will LisaCare continue my current prescription?
A current prescription does not establish that LisaCare will continue it. The practice needs to confirm whether the requested care fits its prescribing scope. Ask about transfer-of-care requirements and appointment availability before relying on LisaCare for an ongoing prescription.
How do I ask about a refill or a concern between visits?
Contact LisaCare to confirm its approved medication-question channel, refill request process and response expectations before starting care. Ask specifically about refill turnaround times and after-hours availability. A scheduled appointment or monthly Gold membership should not be treated as a promise of an immediate refill or emergency support.
Does the monthly Gold membership cover every follow-up cost?
LisaCare lists a $75 monthly Gold membership for follow-up appointments in medication management and brief psychotherapy, alongside a $150 cash-pay follow-up visit fee. Ask the practice to explain which arrangement applies to you, what is included and whether any separate charges apply. See fees and insurance before enrolling.
Location, fees and insurance
LisaCare serves all ages across the lifespan in English and Swahili. Telehealth appointments are available to eligible patients physically located in Texas, Oregon or Washington. Insurance networks vary by state. Medicaid is accepted in Oregon only. Washington appointments are currently cash-pay, with insurance enrollment pending.
Cash-pay fees are $200 for an initial visit and $150 for a follow-up visit. LisaCare lists a $75 monthly Gold membership for follow-up appointments in medication management and brief psychotherapy, and states that patients can cancel anytime. Ask what the Gold membership includes, then review current fees and insurance details.
How to start
Contact LisaCare to arrange the 15-minute eligibility consultation before booking an initial visit. It costs $15 and is credited toward the initial visit if you proceed. This is separate from the $200 initial visit. Ask LisaCare how to arrange the initial visit after the eligibility consultation.
