A starting point for anxiety concerns

LisaCare’s psychiatric evaluation considers symptoms, history, concerns and goals, with diagnostic clarification and individualized planning. During an initial conversation, you can discuss what brings you to care, what you hope to change and what information may be relevant to the evaluation.

The practice also offers medication management, described as medication review, prescribing when appropriate, monitoring and treatment adjustments. Whether that service fits your anxiety-care needs, what falls within the prescribing scope and how often follow-up occurs must be confirmed with LisaCare.

If anxiety includes panic attacks

The National Institute of Mental Health describes a panic attack as a sudden wave of fear or discomfort that may include strong physical symptoms even when there is no clear danger or trigger. One panic attack does not by itself mean a person has panic disorder. A health care provider may consider the timing, frequency, ongoing worry, behavior changes and whether a physical condition could be contributing.

If anxiety centers on social situations

NIMH explains that social anxiety can involve fear in situations where a person may be watched, evaluated or judged. For some people it is tied mainly to performance situations; for others it affects a broader range of everyday interactions and may lead to avoidance.

During an evaluation, you can describe which situations are difficult, what you fear may happen and how avoidance affects school, work, relationships or other activities. Ask which services LisaCare provides and whether care would involve coordination with a therapist or another clinician.

Telehealth location and payment

Eligible patients must be physically located in Texas, Oregon or Washington during an appointment. Confirm your physical location and service eligibility before scheduling. Texas and Oregon have insurance network lists. Medicaid is accepted in Oregon only. Washington appointments are currently cash-pay while insurance enrollment is pending.

The cash-pay fee is $200 for an initial visit and $150 for a follow-up visit. LisaCare also lists a $75 monthly Gold membership for follow-up appointments in medication management and brief psychotherapy; patients can cancel anytime. Review fees and insurance information and ask what the Gold membership includes.

How to start

Before booking an initial visit, contact LisaCare to arrange the 15-minute eligibility consultation. It costs $15 and is credited toward the initial visit if you proceed. This consultation is separate from the $200 initial visit available through online scheduling.
