Schizophrenia

Substance use disorders
LisaCare lists substance use disorders among its specialties. Ask which concerns fit the practice’s scope, what information to prepare for an evaluation and whether care would involve another clinician or program. Confirm the services and follow-up arrangements available before scheduling. Review psychiatric evaluations to prepare for the conversation.
Choose a service starting point
A psychiatric evaluation considers symptoms, history, concerns and goals to support diagnostic clarification and individualized planning. Medication management includes medication review, prescribing when appropriate, monitoring and treatment adjustments. LisaCare also publishes ADHD testing and GeneSight testing. Ask what each service includes, what is outside the practice’s scope and what happens after an initial visit.
Access care in your state
Prisca Oketch, APRN, PMHNP-BC, provides care as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. LisaCare serves all ages across the lifespan in English and Swahili. Eligible patients must be physically located in Texas, Oregon or Washington during telehealth appointments. Insurance networks vary by state; Medicaid is accepted in Oregon only, and Washington appointments are currently cash-pay.
Cash-pay fees are $200 for an initial visit and $150 for a follow-up. A $75 monthly Gold membership is listed for follow-up appointments in medication management and brief psychotherapy. See fees and insurance for the full qualifiers.
How to start
Contact LisaCare to arrange the 15-minute eligibility consultation. It costs $15 and is credited toward the initial visit if you proceed. The consultation is separate from the $200 initial visit available through online scheduling.
