ADHD evaluation and care through telehealth
LisaCare Psychiatry and Wellness offers telehealth psychiatric evaluations, medication management and ADHD testing for people seeking care related to attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Ask LisaCare which evaluation or testing options fit your needs and what to expect before scheduling.
What is currently established
LisaCare provides psychiatric evaluations that consider symptoms, history, concerns and goals, followed by diagnostic clarification and individualized planning. It also offers medication management, described as medication review, prescribing when appropriate, monitoring and treatment adjustments.
ADHD testing may be separate from a standard psychiatric evaluation, and eligibility depends on the practice’s process. Testing does not guarantee a diagnosis, stimulant prescription, same-day prescription or any specific treatment. Ask LisaCare how ADHD testing relates to the evaluation and follow-up services before scheduling.
Preparing for an adult ADHD evaluation
The National Institute of Mental Health explains that ADHD begins in childhood even when it is first evaluated in adulthood. An adult evaluation may consider current concerns, childhood behavior, school experiences and how patterns affect more than one setting, such as home, work, school or relationships.
Before the visit, consider noting examples from current daily life and any relevant childhood or school history you can recall. Ask LisaCare whether records or input from someone who knows you well would be helpful, how consent would work and what information is optional.
Questions that need clear answers
- Which ages are eligible for ADHD testing and care?
- What testing method and appointment process does LisaCare use?
- Is ADHD testing part of the initial evaluation or a separate service?
- What information should a patient or caregiver prepare?
- Are there separate testing fees?
- What happens after testing, and what prescribing limits apply?
LisaCare can answer these questions during the eligibility process so you understand the service before arranging an initial visit.
Provider, location and payment
Care is provided by Prisca Oketch, APRN, PMHNP-BC, a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. LisaCare states that it serves all ages across the lifespan, but ADHD-specific age eligibility still needs confirmation. Care is available in English and Swahili.
Telehealth appointments are offered to eligible patients physically located in Texas, Oregon or Washington. Insurance varies by state. Medicaid is accepted in Oregon only, and Washington appointments are currently cash-pay. Cash-pay fees are $200 for an initial visit and $150 for a follow-up. Ask whether ADHD testing has a separate fee. Review fees and insurance and the broader specialties overview.
How to ask about ADHD services
Contact LisaCare to arrange the 15-minute eligibility consultation. It costs $15 and is credited toward the initial visit if you proceed. It is separate from the $200 initial visit available through online scheduling.
Ask about ADHD testing and eligibility, review appointment options, or meet Prisca.
