Telehealth psychiatric care in Oregon
LisaCare Psychiatry and Wellness offers psychiatric evaluations and medication management by telehealth for patients who will be physically located in Oregon during their appointment. Prisca Oketch, APRN, PMHNP-BC, is the practice’s Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. LisaCare serves all ages across the lifespan and provides care in English and Swahili.
Start with location and service eligibility
Tell LisaCare where you expect to be for your appointment. Prisca is licensed in Oregon, but the practice must still confirm your physical location and whether the requested service fits your needs. Contact LisaCare before the visit if you will be traveling or your location changes.
The practice’s services include psychiatric evaluations, medication management, ADHD testing and GeneSight testing. LisaCare also lists anxiety, ADHD, depression, mood disorders, PTSD, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, substance use disorders and OCD as specialties. The specialties overview can help you find the most relevant care topic before contacting the practice.
Insurance and Medicaid in Oregon
LisaCare lists the following Oregon insurance networks. Confirm your exact plan, network product, Oregon telehealth benefits and service eligibility before scheduling. A carrier name by itself does not establish coverage.
- Oxford (Optum)
- Oscar (Optum)
- United Healthcare (Optum)
- Aetna
- Cigna
- Carelon Behavioral Health
- Regence Blue Cross Blue Shield of Oregon
- Independence Blue Cross Pennsylvania Virtual Network
- Horizon Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Jersey Virtual Network
LisaCare accepts Medicaid in Oregon only. Confirm your specific Medicaid or managed-care plan and eligibility with the practice before scheduling. For cash-pay care, the fee is $200 for an initial visit and $150 for a follow-up visit. The practice also lists a $75 monthly Gold membership for follow-up appointments in medication management and brief psychotherapy; patients can cancel anytime. Review fees and insurance and ask the practice what the Gold membership includes.
Checking Oregon Health Plan and Medicaid coverage
Oregon Health Plan (OHP) is Oregon’s Medicaid program. LisaCare’s statement that it accepts Medicaid in Oregon does not establish participation in every OHP or managed-care plan. The insurance network names above do not tell you which Medicaid plan products LisaCare participates in.
If you are enrolled in a coordinated care organization (CCO), check its provider directory or contact the CCO to confirm whether LisaCare and your requested service are covered. Then confirm the same details with LisaCare before scheduling. The Oregon Health Authority’s provider-finding guide explains how to check CCO directories and find help if you are not enrolled in a CCO. OHA states that no referral is needed for covered mental health services; ask your plan about any other requirements for the particular service.
Questions to confirm before an appointment
- Does LisaCare participate in my exact OHP or Medicaid managed-care plan?
- Is the requested psychiatric evaluation, medication-management visit or testing service covered?
- Do any authorization or other plan requirements apply to this service?
- How does my coverage apply to the eligibility consultation and ongoing care?
- Would any patient charge, cash-pay arrangement or Gold membership apply, and is it appropriate under my plan?
Ask these questions before agreeing to a paid consultation or Gold membership. Confirm benefits directly with your plan and LisaCare, and review fees and insurance before scheduling. Please do not send member numbers or medical information through ordinary email.
How to begin
Contact LisaCare to arrange the 15-minute eligibility consultation before booking an initial visit. The consultation costs $15 and is credited toward the initial visit if you proceed. It is separate from the $200 initial visit. Ask LisaCare how to arrange the initial visit after the eligibility consultation. Appointment hours are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 8:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m. Central Time, with daylight saving time observed. Available times must be confirmed.
Ask about the eligibility consultation, review appointment options, or meet Prisca.
